Testo: "The Art Division of the Oakland Museum has the honor of announcing the official closing of Ken Friedman's One-Year One-Man Show on sunday, the thirty-first of December, One thousend nine hundred and seventy-two. All art works received have been sealed in a subterranean vault and will there remain part of the permanent collection of Thne Oakland Museum. Your participation in this project id gratefully acknowledged". "George Neubert, Curator of Art of the Oakland Museum, invited me to present a solo exhibition which would somehow give the meat and substance of my work. I therefore designed a show which would provide a flow of information growing, changing, maturing and regressing along with the flow of my life. Naturally, for a show of this nature, it seemed logical to take a year, sending in the show at intervals by mail" (Ken Friedman, «Art and Artists», London, 1973).
