Libro d'artista costituito da un breve testo iniziale di Lewitt con l'indice dei colori utilizzati e 60 tavole a colori (nere, bianche, gialle, rosse e blu), in cui sono disegnate linee a due colori alternati. ""Lines & Color" of 1975 begins with two pages listing the color combinations, followed by a page each with bold type to introduce the contents: "Straight, Not-Straight and Broken Lines Using All Combinations of Black, White, Yellow, Red and Blue, for Lines and Intervals". Each double-page spread is a reverse image-black on white/white on black, etc., and the visual impact of the contrasts, both primary colors and complementary colors, as well as of three basic kinds of line, is at first matter-of-fact, ut gradually becomes very dynamic."
