Prima lettura pubblica del poema «Johnny Guitar» (Angel Hair Books, New York, 1969) e prima realizzazione di un ambiente «poetico sensoriale elettronico», con traduzione dei suoni in proiezioni di colori ed effusione di aromi: "At the Poetry Project At St. Mark's Church In-The-Bowery in New York, Giorno created "electronic sensory poetry environments". For instance, a performance, in April 1969 played Giorno's poems «Johnny Guitar» and «Cun» on a stereo Moog tape while a «light organ» translated the sounds in variations of color and brightness and «Rime-Mist aerosol dispensing units» spread odors throughout the sanctuary of St. Mark's Church" (Terence Diggory, «Encyclopedia of the New York School Poets.
